I’ve been where you are.
 
I’ve enjoyed almost 20 years of experience in the corporate sector with highlights such as leading a national technical sales team for an organisation of $5B market cap, delivering deals for accounts worth $50M per annum, and purchasing and negotiating on behalf of a fast growing start up supporting some of Telstra’s largest government and enterprise customers.
 
I’ve been the buyer, the seller, and the leader.
 
I’ve seen how different priorities across different parts of a business shape its leadership style.
 
I’ve experienced the poor results associated with a lack of direction, fulfilment and meaning.
 
I’ve seen low quality deliverables and procrastination and thought, ‘maybe they lack the skills’.
 
I’ve heard and made excuses about ‘not enough time’ and feeling stuck, not knowing how I can help and thinking ‘where am I going to get more support?’
 
I’ve noticed procrastination and shying away from people and situations in myself and others, and I’ve wondered if I made the right hire or questioned my own capability in the role.
 
I had no idea what was REALLY going on, beneath the surface.
 
I didn’t know that these results come from a lack of natural motivation and desire to win, poor decision making strategies, fear of failure, lack of confidence and assertiveness, and an inability to manage stress and anxiety in a way that truly works.
 
I couldn’t have a high performing team if I was a low performing leader.
 
When I realised this I became so curious as to what made people tick and how I could use this to create change for myself and others.
